| In addition to her framed pictures, Riitta also produces larger wall hangings in wool and linen. These vary considerably from designs inspired by the colours and textures of the Pembrokeshire landscape to trees and more abstract forms based on the interplay of light and shadows. Some pieces use a semi-transparent weave that is designed to be hang in front of a window. Riitta dyes and spins many of the yarns herself to obtain the required effect. They are all one-off originals that will never be repeated. |
